During the winter, we offer cross county ski weekend packages at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland, including room and board, ski equipment rental, lessons, and guided trips for groups of about 10-12 people. Accommodations are at Rock Haul from Friday evenings through Sunday afternoon. Meals are provided Saturday breakfast through Sunday lunch.

Ski lessons begin Saturday morning after breakfast, during which you will get used to the equipment and learn the basics of cross county skiing. After a hearty lunch, you will go out on the trails to practice your newly learned skills. We will go to beautiful Harrington Manor, Swallow Falls or Deep Creek Lake State Parks for the afternoon session. You will return to relax before being served dinner. The evenings are free, and we often get a game of hearts or yatzee, or pigs going. Sunday after breakfast we plan a morning trip based on the conditions and the interest and skill of the group. Often, we ski on frozen Deep Creek Lake, which is a different experience, or we may go on another trail trip. After lunch is served, most depart for home, or you may stay a few hours to practice your skills.

We prefer to work with those that have a group formed - from work, school, club, or family get together, but will schedule open groups as well. The cost is very reasonable at $75 per person and includes everything. All you have to do is to get to Rock Haul at beautiful Deep Creek Lake. Families are encouraged and may qualify for discounts.
